The site is pretty easy to use – you can sort the videos by popularity, recent vids, by clicks or duration. I don't need that much juice for the gig (a rare wednesday wedding gig) but i'll enjoy it, and i don't want my little deluxe reverb catching fire while i'm wearing a three hundred dollar suit. There are tube sites, there are cam sites, and then there are cam labels! These massive sites have veritable treasure caves of porn – piles upon piles of sexy scenes and hot videos, only a few clicks away! The Rec Cave is just one such site that has a whole lot of cam recordings these sessions are not your usual porn scenes, but they can still be immensely hot! The site has more than 2 million scenes that’s not a typo – they really do have more than two million scenes, some of which last more than two hours! Talking about content, right? I have a gig tomorrow but i'm not taking it, i'll take my Divided by 13 FTR head and cab. The clean headroom sound that everyone likes so much by itself can just disappear onstage at times. You're fighting bass guitar on one end and cymbals and stuff on the other. My experience onstage with 30+ watt 6L6 amps has been that they sometimes can be super loud but you still can't hear them. I guess the circuit does matter more than tubes. It's subtle, less of a difference than i expected. I'm not sure this is even good, i'd like to hear it on a gig though. I don't necessarily think there's more headroom with the 6L6s, but i do think there's more bass and a different kind of high end response. Illusions, delusions, any kind of lusion. Illusions, now we're talking about something i understand. I will definitely order a copper cap rectifier, just get the wz34? I know i'll get the normal "buy a vibrolux" suggestion, but i've played through a few vibrolux reissues and didn't think they sounded as good as this. What are the suggestions? Should i use the amp this way or am i headed for trouble? It really sounds good, especially because i have a 2x10 baffle in there with british voiced speakers. 6.5vac at all tube heaters (between wires), 416vdc coming off rectifier measured from chassis, and 175vdc on V1, V2 etc.Īnd below is a photo of the power and rec tubes still on after being cranked for close to two hours. I also took some measurements at this time…. cab and played with the amp volume on 10 for another hour, attenuated.Īt the end of that i felt the power transformer and here's the result…i could touch the side of it for about 3-4 seconds, and the top i could touch for 5-6 seconds before too much heat pain. I did crank it up and play for about 45 minutes loud, and when my ears started hurting i ran the speaker out into my badcat unleash and then an ext. I didn't change the bias of the 6L6s yet, they were last at around 35mA. Okay, i spent a few more hours with it today. Would love to hear some recommendations for this tube though. Way bigger difference than small bias adjustment or PI change. I also wanted to hear a 12at7 in v2 (first tube of vibrato channel). Seems that they are the same thing anyway.

I "think" i preferred that over the Groove Tube labeled 12at7 that was in there, but it was so similar it was hard to really tell. I was only on about 3 on the DRRI volume knob.Īlso, just for fun i tried a couple different tubes in the PI and settled on a JJ ECC81. I just played a bit, then let it settle, played a bit, etc. Also, i hadn't thought about the fact that the bias reading would jump around while i played, but i guess that makes sense. Under or over that window sounded bad (distorted in a bad way) to me. But my further thought is that between about 16 and 24 i didn't notice a drastic difference. What i noticed is that the amp seemed to sound good at around 20mA which is what "blue strat" recommended. I did check the bias while playing guitar and listening, as far as i can tell i didn't mess up the probe.
